Westwood Choral Program

Westwood Regional Jr./Sr. High School's music program includes 3 choral ensembles: Concert Choir, 8th Grade Choir, and Chamber Singers. Each ensemble performs in three concerts through the school year - The Winter Concert, The Pops Concert and The Spring Concert. Starting this year, Westwood Regional Jr./Sr. High School will have their own a cappella group! This group is open to all high school students grade 9-12.

 

Concert Choir is open for enrollment for any student grades 9-12 and is the largest choir at Westwood Regional School District. This ensemble focuses on reinforcing proper vocal techniques and introducing challenging repertoire that educates about history, culture and style through music. 

 

Chamber Singers is the elite, auditioned choral ensemble at Westwood Regional Jr./Sr. High School. This ensemble performs more difficult repertoire at a higher level, challenging students to reach a superior level of singing. Along with the 3 annual concerts, Chamber Singers engage in outside competitions, community outreach and program recruitment events. Repertoire for this ensemble mainly includes a capella songs educating about music theory, history, culture and style through music.

 

The 8th Grade Choir is open to any 8th grade student interested in furthering their choral education. This ensemble focuses on builiding a musical foundation and reinforcing proper vocal techniques.
