Concert Choir is open for enrollment for any student grades 9-12 and is the largest choir at Westwood Regional School District. Students are required to sing in three concerts: The Winter Concert, The Pops Concert and The Spring Concert. This ensemble focuses on reinforcing proper vocal techniques and introducing challenging repertoire that educates about history, culture and style through music. Vocal technique includes, but is not limited to, breathing, diction, vocal placement, and posture. Student will also be introduced to sight-singing and will learn beginner techniques to approach singing at first sight. With sight-singing, students will also learn basic music theory and will learn how to read rhythms and notes in both the treble and bass clef.
